Roger went to the bowls shop in Pershore, where he bought his own set of woods

 

 

together with grey and white flannels, needed to play in matches, which he has done once so far, with a singular lack of success.

 

Juliet played in her teacher’s annual summer master class.  The piece went reasonably well – it was the first time Jay had played it with the piano.
